....I'm back

.....seems I forget about this Blog then suddenly rediscover it. I've been very busy actually building sets in studio yet have managed to do a little work recently. The beach shoot I did was very challenging to say the least due to high winds, overcast and cool temperatures. These are days where you take what you've been taught along with your experience and make it happen.

This was shot through her legs with sharp focus on the mirror.  I personally love this photo.

More Lene and her craving a "Bad Girl" look.
I think we got it!

Meet Ms. Lene

Meet Lene! She was a really fun shoot. Very exotic look, looks like a princess yet very down to earth and grounded. Eagerness and energy was the key to this shoot.

Sydney

This is Sydney and I need say anything more!

Ms. B

Went to a promotional party and this beautiful woman agreed to let me shoot over another underwater photographer as she was coming up for air. She and I will be working together soon...stay tuned!

Studio at last!

Just got accepted into a group of photographers and now have my own space. Good stuff! Great group of shooters who have a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Shoot the Centerfold Seminar, Ksenia Tsiulina

This is European model Ksenia Tsiulina. A little simpler of a lighting system compared to the 9 light system of Arny's. This was Jarmo's setup, believe it was 6 lights. Notice the lights emphasis on her legs, butt (Booty light as he called them) and face with blown out hair highlights.

This is the lovely Delpha. One of the first models that I saw the results I wanted in studio lighting. She has a wonderful attitude that goes with her beautiful face and penetrating eyes. She also has a matching bookend, an identical twin sister.

Still Water

This is the love of my life who got up at six in the morning and waded into chilly water to capture this image. Don't be fooled, still waters run deep! Peg has always encouraged me to go after my dreams and has the tolerance of a saint. Bisou!

Vintage Gloria

This is Gloria, a favorite model who always has a great attitude to go with her great looks. This is an example of "Vintage Photography" which has always been a crowd favorite. When done right the image pops. This image won me a "Editors Choice" nod at NAPP (National Association of Photoshop Professionals).

Bahama Morning

This is Meg. We met while the family and I were vacationing in the Bahama's. This was done in early morning light with a simple on camera flash used as a fill light. She did a lot of work for me in the few hours we were together. This is one I can show you. What makes a great shoot is 40% good looking model and 60% great attitude. If your having fun and relaxed, it always shows in the image.

Intimate Couple Photography

This is Sydney and Josh. Sydney is a regular test model for "Light Study Pro", a Meetup group that does weekly shoots at the studio of Eugene Breaux in Mid-town Miami. This is a "Intimate Couple" style photography and a lighting build that captures great lighting on both models.

Shoot the Centerfold Seminar, Hard Rock Hollywood, Fl

Some days are better than others and this was one of them! I attended a "Shoot the Centerfold" seminar at Hard Rock. It was taught by the three great photographers, Arny Freytag, Jarmo Pohjaniemi and David Mecey, two of which are still shooting for Playboy. Learned a great deal and the models were personable and a pleasure to work with. Look for work that has this look on my site soon! BTW...this image of Playboy Miss March Kira Milan is unedited..flawless!

It started here.....

I'm the one in the middle with my boys around me. The reason I started my photography business vs wait till I retired, is due to Firefighter Alex Hevia, he is holding the axe. This photograph was taken in October of 2006 and a few months after this Alex died after being electrocuted in his home. He left behind a wife and two young children. After his burial I decided that waiting is never a good idea to pursue what you truly love and it was then that I decided to pursue my passion, photography. Alex will always be with me and a part of my art, may he always rest in peace.
